Sign up for this fun class with award winning area photographer and artist Dee Kotaska. Participants will learn the basics of alcohol ink and use it to create color designs. These will be set into jewelry findings. Wear old clothes or a full cover apron.

Join us for a concert that connects the memories of the ancient with hopes for the future.
Explore and record the world around you through our Nature Journaling series with Ashley Bozman. All workshops are FREE with registration, and all the art supplies you need for each session will be provided!
For this first session, we will meet at Robinson Quarry Park located on Old Wagon Road in Sandstone.
Please bring sturdy shoes, protective clothing, a full water bottle, and bug spray are encouraged for the Robinson Quarry Park hikes. We will be exploring the new trails, and will journey where out group feels confident. We will stop several times to journal, and artists may benefit from bringing something to sit on. There will be a pit toilet available at the beginning and end of the hike.

Altered Books are discarded books that have been re-imagined and re-created! Writer and English teacher Mary Lovold will guide participants through writing poetry and exploring prose, using portions of the discarded book! Artist and Art teacher Deb Hannu will share creative and structural techniques for collage, drawing, painting, weaving, even sculpting, into your altered book! Spinny wheels? Yep! Drawers? Certainly possible!

Design your own silk bandana with natural dyes! Over the course of the class, we will discuss the basics of natural dyeing, including fiber selection, natural materials, modifiers, and a few different techniques for making your very own dyed bandana!
Workshop participants do not need any previous dying experience to join, and those with experience will be welcome to contribute their knowledge!
Come prepared with clothes you are ok getting stained.
